The Use of New Knowledge about Generation Y for Their Inclusion into Business Practice

Dissertation deals with Generation Y and its position in the corporate environment and in the labor market. The selected issue is very topical because of increasing structural and cyclical unemployment among young people. In preparing the dissertation, we departed from theoretical findings acquired by studying Czech and foreign monographs, articles published in journals, other electronic resources and, most importantly, primary research conducted. The main objective of the dissertation to gain new knowledge about Generation Y, which would lead to a more effective inclusion of young people (especially graduates) into practice with the use of new management methods in the adaptation and stabilization of a young employee in the job, with focus on future employees with economic expertise. In order to achieve the main objective, 4 sub-objectives and 4 research questions with relevant hypotheses were set. Based on an analysis of the theoretical basis and secondary data, a schema of adaptation and stabilization of a young employee was created. The primary research conducted then combines quantitative and qualitative approaches for the analysis and description of each part. The research results are presented in the form of partial conclusions characterizing each area as well as in the form of a summarizing conclusion placed in a broader context in a comparison with the determined state of current scientific knowledge. The dissertation includes contributions to science and research, business practice and teaching as well as a proposal of continuation of research activities.
Proposal of Effective Diversity Management in Selected Companies

The aim of the thesis is to propose measures for the effective application of diversity management which will lead to improvements in the working environment and to enhance the performance of the company. The first part summarizes the current knowledge about the diverse composition of employees in companies. To solve the research task will be use a number of research methods, especially the questionnaire, semi-structured interviews and document analysis.

Diploma Thesis evaluates levels of management in the OHL ZS, a.s. company with respect to their employees´ age and abilities. It analyzes the current state of the organization and its environment in relation to a selected group of workers (50+). External and internal environment of the construction company and access of its strategy is evaluated in the area of Age Management. Research is performed through a questionnaire survey among employees. On the basis of learned and analyzed information the overall evaluation of the state of AM in the organization is brought to effect and then a solution is suggested and some possible changes are recommended. The aim is to propose possible measures to strengthen the level of Age Management in this company.

The theoretical part of the thesis dealing with the theme of Age Management contains a relatively new concept concerning the field of Human Resources Management which focuses on taking the age of eymployees into account. The theoretical part is also approaches current demographic trends in the Czech Republic and points out the problems that may arise in connection with future demographic development. The practical part deals with the analysis of the external and internal environment of a company which serves as the basis for initial proposals of the application of Age Management in a particular company.

This thesis deals with proposal of measures that may lead to risk mitigation associated with employees´aging under the terms of the Age Management application in the chosen company. The theoretical part explains the concepts of human resources management and current demographic trends are not omited either. The analytical part presents the analysis of external and internal business environment. The quantitative and qualitative research was conducted as well. Based on the obtained data initial proposals are made for the introduction of age management in the chosen company.

This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the area of educating older employees about digital technologies within a company. The first part theoretically explains age structure of employees in the labour market, motivation for development of older employees, level of their digital skills and the need for implementation of age management in a company to raise the quality of a workplace. This thesis identi-fies the impacts of the arising fourth industrial revolution and their effects on a workplace. Weaknesses of age management and digital education within a chosen company will be described in the following analytical part based on the theoretical findings.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of population aging and its impact on human resource management in a selected business company. The thesis is based on the concept of age management, whose practices are a modern approach to human resource management. The aim of the work is to identify the existing management methods and then to propose recommendations for the implementation of appropriate age management practices. The literature research introduces the issue of age management and its connection with human resources marketing. The essential part of the thesis, in the form of an analysis of the internal environment of the company, is contained in the empirical part of the thesis. The analysis is carried out by semi-structured interviews with a company representative and a questionnaire survey among the company employees. The research showed deficiencies especially in the methods to retain existing employees. Recommendations are proposed based on the identified shortcomings, especially the age structure of the employees. The limits and constraints that have a possible negative impact on the research results are discussed in the discussion of this thesis.
Age management se zaměřením na zaměstnance 50+ ve strategii firmy v oblasti služeb

The world population is aging. Countries that do not want to face the negative economic consequences of the aging of their population need to address this trend. One of the ways to use the potential of employees of all age categories, to extend their time spent on the labor market in good health and at a high standard of living, and at the same time maintain the company's productivity, is to use the concept of age management. The aim of this thesis was to identify tools from the age management concept, currently applied by a specific company for the long-term integration of employees aged 50+, to evaluate the success of their application and to suggest possible improvements. The analysis was conducted in the form of a survey questionnaire amongst the company's employees and a semi-structured interview with the HR department employee of the same company. In the conclusion, recommendations are formulated which the company can implement to increase the satisfaction of employees aged 50+ while simultaneously maintaining or increasing its productivity.

The thesis deals with age management in the health and social services sector. The aim of the thesis is to develop proposals and recommendations for improving the current level of age management. Quantitative and qualitative research was con- ducted to develop recommendations. The qualitative research was done in the form of semi-structured interviews with managers and the human resources department staff members. The quantitative research involved the processing of data obtained from the project: 'Proposal for measures to prevent risks of damage to employee’s health as a result of occupational accident or an occupational disease financed from the contribution under Section 320a(b) of Act No. 262/2006 Coll., the Labour Code, as amended in 2022'. Based on this research, recommendations are made for insti- tutions in the health and social services sector, which should contribute to improv- ing the age-related management of employees, to supporting and improving the working capacity of employees in this sector, and therefore increasing employee sat- isfaction in the workplace

This Bachelor thesis deals with issue service improving for seniors. Its aim is analysing todays level of this service and provide concepts for improving. This thesis is divided in two main parts. The first one is focused on monitoring literary sources connected with this issue. There are described and in detail explained main findings. In the second, practical part, are interviews with officials and results of survey. According to all these informations there are defined concepts for service improving for seniors in selected localities.
